For toy and small breed dogs, you can use your own digital scale at home. For extra small toy breed dogs, you could even use kitchen scales or baby scales.
With medium breed dogs, if you can comfortably lift them without straining your back, you can use your home digital scales following these instructions. However, for heavier medium breed dogs, and all large and giant breed dogs, specialised pet scales are the only recommended option.
